The NYC Edition Capsule Collection in black is a study of how different materials interact with light through the absorption of color.
Like black tea steeping in water, black evolves through saturation, translucency and depth. The clarity of water interacts with the natural pigments of the tea leaves, much like the light that is reflected or deflected through the landscape of different fabrics. Black is not the absence of color. Black is the interplay of concealing and revealing, much like the inherent matrix of a Kimono. Matte linen absorbs color densely into it's textured grains. Rayon saturates and holds fluidity. Sheer Silk allows light to pass through. Opaque Silk with sheen reflects light. Skin diffuses light. It becomes part of the composition, the softest material in the system. |

TRENCHMONO: NYC Edition
The NYC Edition Trenchmono is in an organic linen.
Color: Black
The Trenchmono is the lovechild of a Kimono and the classic Trenchcoat. Elemental style details include a collar and lapel in the front that join, 3 belt loops in the back and 2 slouchy cool pockets in the front. It also has a 'back-flap' which is a length of fabric across the shoulders- a signature Trenchcoat detail. The trench mono uses 8 yards of fabric that is doubled- so there is air between the two layers, and more weight to it- rendering it more suitable for a coat style. The suggested length is in duster length-which is around mid calf- to ankle length, but of course can be customized.
CAFTAN-MONO: NYC Edition
The Caftan-Mono is a tunic style hybrid between a Kimono and caftan. Features a deep plunge neckline. Tie for neckline included and can be used to tie-up the kimono sleeves. 100% Italian silk.

Inspired by vintage vests from the 1970s, the Vest-Mono is crafted from Italian linen for structure with ease. The unisex, one-size silhouette is clean and architectural, designed to be worn alone or layered.
A deep V-neckline and subtle asymmetrical hem create quiet movement, while adjustable back ties allow for a relaxed or softly shaped fit. Finished with tonal buttons, the piece frames the body without rigidity, balancing function and elegance.

Inspired by the iconic poet-style blouse that Jim Morrison was as synomomus for wearing as his leather pants. The Blouse-Mono has Kimono sleeves and deep plunge neckline. Tie for neckline included and can be used to tie-up the kimono sleeves. Morrison is an embodiement of liberation, provocation and sensual confidence.

A unisex, one-size double-breasted blazer–kimono hybrid that embodies the harmony between softness and structure.
Crafted from Italian linen and lined in 100% silk, it drapes in an oversized silhouette with quiet strength and fluid ease. Structured shoulder pads shape the frame while maintaining a natural movement. A silk tie-strap is stitched into the lining, allowing the silhouette to cinch softly at the waist or fall loose and undone.
Finished with tortoiseshell buttons, the New York Edition features a black silk lining and two front pockets for function and elegance.

Blazer Mono Care Instructions
The Blazer Mono is designed to evolve beautifully with time. Crafted in natural linen, the fabric will soften, relax, and develop a unique lived-in character through wear and care.
Dry clean only with specialist familiar with silk-lined garments. Request low-moisture cleaning and gentle heat. Do not machine wash or tumble dry. Steam lighly on low heat. Store on a structured hanger to preserve the silhouette.

The NYC Edition Silk Playmono is jumpsuit/kimono hybrid in CDC silk.
The Playmono is a jumpsuit with Kimono sleeves and a slight drop crotch pant leg. The sleeves can be tied in the back to create a sleeveless halter style or worn with full sleeve length. The 22" long neckline is cut long enough to step into and style with the belt at waist or hip level.
