I absolutely LOVE the contrast of the cooler and darker colors that take the fairy unicorn vibes of the ethereal Crystal Matrix Kimono into a sexier and darker style terrain. The Davis Kimono in Charcoal gray is a sheerer silk chiffon- not the Crepe de Chine fabric that the other Davis Kimonos come in. I love the delicate and beautiful flow of this Kimono and chose to style it with two vintage pieces. The vintage silk skirt- again something I stole from my mom ;)- is a fabulously chic length that really looks modern with a high waist that I modified- as the original waist sat lower. It’s important when styling vintage pieces to focus on the silhouette to not only what suits. your figure- but also you can be more current with the fashion direction of the moment. But, that being said- always wear what suits you more than what trends dictate. I am wearing a vintage 80’s (new-never used!) one piece metallic steeley blue swimsuit as a bodysuit. I think the metallic and the matte silks work well together. Pairing black boots is a must as it roots down the look completely. A heel or stiletto pump would not be as badass in my opinion.
